Clary Sage Organic Essential Oil, extracted by steam distillation from Salvia sclarea, is native to southern Europe and cultivated in France and Russia. It is known for its calming effect on nerves and is particularly beneficial for female health issues, such as painful periods, irregular menstruation, and menopause symptoms like hot flushes and irritability. It also aids in skin troubles like acne and boils, relieves muscle and joint pain, and helps with digestion and kidney function.

Clary sage is useful for depression, stress, and insomnia, and acts as an aphrodisiac. Historically known as Oculus Christi ('the eye of Christ'), it was esteemed in the Middle Ages for treating eye inflammation and ulcers. Clary sage oil should be avoided when consuming alcohol, as it may increase intoxication. Use in small quantities as a large dose can give you a headache. Do not apply directly in or near to the eyes! Avoid using during pregnancy.
