Rosemary Organic Essential Oil, steam distilled from the flowers, stems, and leaves of the plant, has a woody and herbal aroma. According to the British Pharmacopoeia, oil from the flowering tops is superior, though most commercial oil comes from stems and leaves. In aromatherapy, it refreshes and stimulates the mind.

This oil treats wounds, burns, colds, flu, fatigue, digestive issues, headaches, asthma, bronchitis, gout, rheumatism, liver and gall bladder problems, water retention, and poor circulation. For massages, it’s often mixed with base oils like almond, apricot kernel, or hazelnut oil. It also promotes hair growth by increasing scalp circulation. Avoid internal use, and do not use if pregnant or suffering from high blood pressure or epilepsy.

Historically, rosemary symbolized memory and fidelity, used in weddings, funerals, and religious ceremonies. "Hungary water," made from rosemary tops soaked in wine, was said to cure the Queen of Hungary’s paralysis.
